Gadsby's Taven Ball
Last week, I went to Gadsby's Tavern Museum's Jane Austen Ball. (Wow, what a mouthful!) I last went to a ball there four years ago (see: here), so it was wonderful to go back!

Many Happy Returns
Hello all!
I'm back, and ready to tell you all about what happened while I was in college. Well, at least as far as costuming is concerned... I'll keep this post short, though.
My hometown is celebrating its 300th anniversary this year and I make a small cameo in these videos. I'm in 18th century clothing (of course) and dancing! The clips I appear in are either from Dover's Market Fair or from a filming I agreed to be a part of. It's my three seconds of fame (combined, I'm sure) and if you blink, you'll miss it!
This is the video which doesn't touch on historical stuff again after the 1-minute mark.
This is the video that had a special filming.
Hope you enjoy them!

Hello Again!
I'm back from college! Everything went really well, and I'm excited about where I'll be living this coming fall. My friends are lovely and so was college, but it's good to be home.
I've actually been back for a little while... Which has been long enough to go and perform English Country Dancing at a couple of events that I'll recount for you eventually.
Also, some fantastic news: I'm starting my internship as a Historical Interpreter (third person, not first) on the 2nd! I'll be wearing my 18th century clothes much more often, which means I'm going to be doing some sewing asap so I can improve and expand my wardrobe.
I've gotten interested in more vintage fashion, so you may expect more of that kind of thing on this blog!
I hope everyone's past few months have been great! Take care, and I'll be posting more this summer!

Little Life Updates
So I've been insanely busy since I've been back at school. I apologize for the photo-less post, but I have nothing recent or really interesting to share. That I've taken pictures of, that is. I started learning yoga this morning, and I'm keeping up with Argentine Tango. They're both super fun activities.
Life is currently getting in the way of any picture-worthy-ness even though it's beautifully snowy where I am. I've decided that a hiatus for this blog is what I need, and I hope all of you understand and are patient. I don't know if I'll be posting any time before May. March is looking plausible, but I make no promises. Take care everyone, and I hope you have a happy and healthy end to Winter and beginning of Spring!

Photoshoot, Circa 1812
As a bit of an update, Christmas was lovely, as I hope everyone else's was! I'm back home now, and I hope to get back a bit to sewing and having fun!
One of my presents yesterday was a pretty purple scarf. Today, while my hair was in a bun, I decided I could tie it in a turban style. One thing led to another, and I brought out another scarf of mine. I tied that in a turban, then added the purple scarf into the style. After that, I thought it would be fun to curl some little pieces of hair to frame my face and make the style look like portraits and fashion plates of the early 1800's. Then, it was an easy step to convince myself that I needed to put on a dress and take some pictures. Many thanks to my brother, who took some really fantastic shots!

American Duchess- The Story of Another Giveaway
So, I was planning on posting a picture for the American Duchess gift card giveaway. However, with limited time and no preexisting photos of me in costume around Christmastime, I just couldn't get it to happen. However, when I saw with the advent calendar she has up that she's giving away the Season 1 DVD of Upstairs Downstairs, I thought I should notify all my readers, and try to get it, too!
Without further ado, here are some pretty pictures! |

Video from Market Faire
A Trip Back in time is a cute little video about Market Faire in Dover, DE a couple of weeks ago. I encourage you to check it out! Have fun, and I'll hopefully be updating more often.
